Balsamic Strawberry Mint Almond Tart

A crisp almond tart shell carries juicy balsamic strawberries and fresh mint leaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 baked tart shell
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/3 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Heat oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix almond flour, sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and salt into a paste.
  3. Spread in the tart shell and bake until set and golden.
  4. Toss strawberries with balsamic and honey.
  5. Spoon berries over the cooled tart and finish with mint.
