Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps with Mint

Caramelized bulgogi beef tucked into lettuce with rice, cucumber, chile, and fresh mint.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • Butter lettuce leaves
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • Sesame seeds and chile paste

Method

  1. Marinate beef with soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic for 15 minutes.
  2. Sear beef quickly in a hot skillet until caramelized.
  3. Arrange lettuce, rice, cucumber, mint, sesame seeds, and chile paste at the table.
  4. Fill lettuce leaves with rice and beef.
  5. Add cucumber and mint before folding.
