Ginger Mint Salt Tea

A hot or iced mint tea with ginger heat, lemon, and a savory pinch of sea salt.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
  • 1 packed cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional
  • Small pinch of sea salt
  • Lemon wheels

Method

  1. Simmer ginger in water for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, add mint, cover, and steep for 4 minutes.
  3. Strain into mugs or a heatproof pitcher.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, honey if using, and salt.
  5. Serve hot, or chill and pour over ice.
